Boston Financial Management has been recognized by HomeStart, Inc. as “Rookie of the Year” for its employees’ participation in the yearly spin-a-thon event, iCycle.
For almost 15 years, Bostonians have participated in outdoor spin classes at the end of February to raise money for HomeStart’s essential work to end and prevent homelessness. Traditionally, ICycle has been a spin bike marathon, taking place outside One International Place and Kendall Center in the bitter New England cold – a not-so-subtle reminder that not everyone has the comforts of a warm home.
This event is a reminder to all that spending just one hour out in the cold, rain, or snow is nothing compared to living without the warmth, comfort, and stability of a home.
The event raised over $500,000, with the BFM team raising over $80,000.
