Charles T. Casazza • In Memoriam

October 13, 1945 – July 19, 2017

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the recent passing of Charlie Casazza, Chief Investment Strategist at Boston Financial Management. Charlie passed away at Tufts NE Medical Center on July 19, 2017 after a sudden illness.

Charlie has been a member of the BFM team for over 14 years and worked closely with our current Chief Investment Officer, Brad Weafer. He served as BFM’s Chief Investment Officer for over 10 years before handing the reins to Brad a few years ago.

Charlie was a highly respected investor and acted as our part-time economist for the past several years. He was a gifted writer and wrote our newsletter, The Financial Pages for 12 years. Charlie was a mentor to many of our employees and was always happy to discuss his views on the market.

Charlie graduated from Northeastern University with a BA in Finance in 1968. He was a member of the US Army Reserves during the Vietnam War, serving as a medic. He enjoyed a 50-year career in the investment business. Throughout his adult life, Charlie enjoyed tennis, golf, fishing and boating. He is survived by his two children, Jeffrey P. Casazza and Kristen E. Casazza, former wife Elizabeth B. Casazza and his beloved Airedale, Maggie.

Charlie has many friends at BFM, in Boston and in our industry and was a very special guy! He will be sorely missed by all those he touched.
